jekyll island, georgia

“Something shifts when you drive across the causeway and through the imposing pillars that mark your arrival on Jekyll Island. The roads empty out, the wide skies of the marshland give way to gnarled red cedars and live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, the air becomes dense and quiet” -Travel + Leisure

Jekyll Island, the southernmost of Georgia’s Golden Isles, is a mere 7 miles long by 1.5 miles wide but boasts over eight miles of white sandy beaches and twenty miles of lush trails amidst protected natural habitat.

Jekyll Island is renowned for its landmark Historic District, located in the midsection of the intercoastal side of the island. The 240-acre site contains 33 historic structures from the late 19th/early 20th centuries, the centerpiece of which is the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. The hotel once served as the clubhouse for elite members who vacationed in the surrounding cottages, including the Crane family, the Pulitzers, Morgans, Vanderbilts, and Rockefellers. Preserved and adapted for use as museums, art galleries, and bookstores, the cottages are an iconic part of the island and fit in to the picturesque and rich natural landscape.

We are excited to share this special place with you!
